Framing Page
All are our frames are hand-made by our small team of framing experts at our onsite workshop. We don't outsource any work, ensuring you get the highest quality frame possible. We use quality mouldings, mountboards and glazing to visually enhance your artwork and protect it for decades to come.

We make frames for:
  • Paintings and drawings on canvas, board, paper, panels, etc.
  • Original prints (linocut, woodcut, monoprint, etching, screen-print, etc.)
  • Posters, prints and photographs
  • Fabric works such as cross-stitches, embroideries, tapestries and batiks
  • Sports shirts, medals, boxing gloves, golf balls, sports programmes and other sporting memorabilia
  • Film and music memorabilia, including posters, vinyl albums and covers, tickets, props, etc.
  • Military service medals and badges, vintage photos and postcards, uniforms, and other personal items
  • And custom frames mirrors made to any size
We also stretch rolled/loose canvas paintings or canvas prints onto a stretcher frame (which can be hung unframed if desired), using either pre-made stretcher bars, or our own custom milled stretcher bars with keyed corners.

We also offer re-glazing of frames with broken glass, and re-framing of artworks with current frames that have seen better days.
We can frame almost anything, small or large!
Picture Frame Mouldings
We have over 600 mouldings all carried in stock, in both contemporary and traditional styles. From modern black, grey, white, and oak mouldings, to more traditional stained, gilded or solid wood mouldings, and custom hand-painted, spray painted, waxed, or our own ultra-smooth gessoed finish. We can also colour match to existinng frames, furniture or interiors. Anything is possible!

Dry Mounting
Paper naturally expands and contracts with changes in temperature and humidity, sometimes causing your print or photograph to appear wavy/rippled under the glass. This is more likely to occur to larger posters, works on thin paper, work exposed to excessive heat/light, and is more noticeable on glossy prints.
We have multiple pressing facilities to ensure your artwork remains flat: self adhesive boards, a cold-mount motorised roller, a screw-top hot press, and a large hot glass vacuum press. Dry mounting is recommended for aesthetic purposes only; it is usually irreversible and not recommended for works of high value, or work that cannot be reproduced.
We can also dry-mount onto MDF sheets, foamboard, apply a matt, satin or gloss laminate washable seal, and add a sub-frame if you wish to hang your work 'frameless' and floating away from the wall.

Mount Cutting
Our computerised mount cutter can cut picture mounts from the largest mountboards available (up to 1630 x 1120mm), giving us the facility to cut intricate mounts in large quantities with a quicker turnaround than others.
Choose from over 200 mountboards of varying colour, texture and thickness (all carried in stock). We can also cut out custom shapes and designs, including text. (Mountboards are available for individual purchase).

Preservation

We offer 'conservation grade' materials as standard, but if the preservation of your artwork is of paramount importance, we can offer 'museum grade' materials such as 100% cotton mountboard, non-reflective glass with 99% ultra-violet light protection, foil tape lining and pH neutral protective backing boards to help protect your artwork from degrading or fading over the decades to come.

Ready-made frames
For a budget friendly solution that you can take-away on the spot, we make our own ready-made frames and picture mounts in standard sizes. Using a select few of our more popular mouldings, all of our read-made frames are constructed by hand ourselves using only 100% wood mouldings with strong corners, 2mm clear glass, 2mm MDF backing and hanging hardware (no paper covered MDF or plastic mouldings here, just real wood). Metal stands can be added to small frames.

Framing hardware, wall fixings/hooks, cord, wire, tape, and all other framing sundries are also available.

We also now stock ready-made tray frames to fit standard metric size canvases and panels. They are available in white or white (with some light grey and dark grey), giving you more options for a simple, easy, and contemporary frame for canvases and panels.

All our tray frames allow for a 5mm gap around your canvas/panel for a floating effect. Simply position your canvas/panel centrally within the frame and screw it in from behind. Blank canvases or plywood panels (primed or unprimed) can also be provided for each frame.
